Flamborough Head, Yorkshire
The white cliffs of Flamborough head are a fantastic backdrop to rockpooling along the North Sea shore line. The beach has a good mix of seaweed covered rocks with bladderack and lava in abundance. If you scout amongst the pools you can also find crabs and small blennys. There is a strict no-take zone in operation to preserve a stretch of coast, so make sure you know the boundaries before you go foraging or scavaging fossils.

Wembury Bay, Devon
There is an education centre at Wembury beach which runs events for all ages run by the National Trust. A great beach, with a good mixture of shingle, rocks and a little sand. The water is wonderfully clear, so if you feel up to it, good for a snorkelling trip for larger crabs and even lobsters.
